Everything you need to know about slime and maintaining it!
Slime is often seen as a toy for kids or a cutesy girly thing, but there's so much more to slime than that! Slime is classified as a non Newtonian fluid, but slime, isn't as complicated as that makes it sound! Most slime is made using glue as its base. You then add an activator and it creates a chemical reaction, this chemical reaction is what creates the slime. What matters to you though is that slime is a tool that can help you focus and even calm you down. So next time you're sitting on the couch watching tv, slime could enhance your leisure experience! The same thing applies to when you're doing work or playing at your desk. Slime is an amazing tool that you can take anywhere!
Clean hands prevent dirt, oils, lint, and other debris from getting on your slime, which can make it sticky, dirty, and cause it to degrade faster.
Mix the packet of white powder that came with your slime with 1 cup of hot water! Add some drops into your slime and mix it in between every drop. It shouldn't take much for your slime to be as good as new! Be sure to store your activating mixture somewhere for when you need to revitalize your slime again!
The slime should get naturally softer over time, but if you don't want to wait do the following. Add a small amount of glycerine or warm water into the slime and it should be soft and ready to use! Be sure to mix the amount you put into your slime good before you add more.
Keep slime away from any fabric or hair. It can be a huge headache if either of these get stuck in your slime or slime gets all over them. Slime should mainly be used on surfaces like desks and tables.
1. Be sure to use it regularly! The slime will thrive off of consistent use!
2. Do not use the slime after using hand sanitizer, it will make the slime sticky.
3. When not in use be sure to put it back in the container and keep it closed.
4. Use your slime in short and quick movements to avoid sticking.
